The project is designed for fragrance enthusiasts, retail customers, and experience-seeking visitors, keeping sensory engagement, emotional connection, and intuitive navigation at the core of the design process. By shifting the focus from product display to experiential interaction, the design encourages users to slow down and explore fragrance as a layered journey. The design approach focuses on fluid circulation, sensory immersion, material expression, and visual calmness, ensuring that the outcome is both experiential and refined. Through research into celadon ceramics, lotus forms, and water reflections, the project identifies the importance of subtle textures,
muted tones and organic geometries in shaping emotional spatial experiences. Materials such as glass, ceramic-inspired finishes, soft-textured surfaces, and natural elements were chosen to achieve transparency, elegance, and serenity. Techniques inspired by layering, translucency, and reflective detailing were incorporated into partitions, display systems, and spatial elements to reinforce the conceptual narrative.Visually, the project is defined by celadon green tones, fluid curves, reflective surfaces, soft lighting, and layered textures, reflecting the calm and introspective qualities of the inspiration. The final outcome, a fragrance retail and experience center, embodies serenity, sophistication, and sensory depth, offering users an immersive journey that connects memory, emotion, and scent.Through this project, the designer aims to highlight how material culture and sensory inspiration can redefine retail experiences, positioning design as a tool for emotional engagement and experiential storytelling. Ultimately, “Afternote” stands as a reflection of quiet luxury and sensory immersion, where fragrance is not just displayed but truly experienced through space.
